Why choose analogue (film) photography in the digital age?

There are many reasons one might choose digital photography over film photography. A digital camera can capture more photos, and in a shorter period of time. Newer digital cameras are an engineering marvel and allow for capturing motion in high definition. Film photography, however, is a chemical miracle. The richness of color and texture in each shot are uniquely recognizable as being captured on film. There is also a special magic that comes with knowing there is a set number of frames available per roll. The act of capturing a moment becomes much more intentional, and allows the photographer to be more present in a moment.
